We LOVE local independents like yours and CovPlus is a simple way to bring more local customers through your doors - without expensive marketing or complicated tech. We are launching in Summer 2026 with hand-picked independent venues across Coventry.

What is CovPlus?

CovPlus is a local digital membership card that helps people discover and support independent cafés and restaurants, in Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington.

Members pay a small monthly or annual fee and show their digital CovPlus card in-store to access offers at partner venues.

For partners, CovPlus is a low-effort way to:

• Attract new local customers

• Encourage repeat visits

• Be part of a shared, independent food and drink community

CovPlus is aimed at students, young professionals, and local residents who actively seek out independent places to eat and drink.

What CovPlus does for partners

We don’t just list venues — we actively promote them.

As a CovPlus partner, we aim to support you through:

• Social media promotion
  A dedicated post highlighting your venue and your offer in the lead-up to launch, plus ongoing features.

• Local partnerships
  Connecting with other local businesses and offering their staff access to CovPlus membership.

• Student reach
  Presence at Freshers’ Fairs and promotion to local universities.

• Local press coverage
  Working with local press to share the CovPlus initiative and spotlight independent venues.

• Interactive local map
  A map showcasing independent cafés and restaurants — and helping people discover yours.

• Growing audience
  We expect 1,000+ members by the end of this calendar year, with many more engaging with CovPlus content online.

We focus on sensible, fair-use offers that work for small independent teams.

How partner offers work

We want CovPlus to work well for members and for independent businesses, so we keep our approach flexible and straightforward.

We encourage partners to think in terms of:

• A simple, recognisable perk/s for CovPlus members, offered regularly

• The option to introduce stronger incentives during quieter periods, if that suits your business

The baseline perk doesn’t need to be a large discount. For some partners it’s a small added extra; for others it’s a percentage off. What matters most is that it’s clear, easy for staff to honour, and feels worthwhile for members.

For example, offers might include:

• % Off Food or Drink (e.g. 15% off Mon–Thurs)

• Time-Specific Deals (e.g. 50% off food at 5 pm)

• Free Item with Purchase (e.g. free dessert with a main)

• BOGOF (Buy one, get one free drink, sandwich etc.)

• Or a combination! You could choose up to 3 different perks (e.g. weekday lunch, evening deal, weekend treat).

Some partners choose to have something available most of the time, while others focus their strongest offers around quieter days or times. Both approaches can work well.

The better the offer, the stronger the draw — but there’s no one-size-fits-all model. We’ll work with you to find an approach that fits your venue and protects your margins.

• Reduces pressure on staff

• Gives independent businesses full control over how they participate

• Means there’s no ongoing admin — simply honour the offer when a member shows their digital pass

How it works

1. You agree an offer (or combination of offers) that suits your business

2. We list your venue on the CovPlus website and include it in our member communications

3. Customers show their digital CovPlus card in-store to redeem the offer

That’s it. No apps to download. No systems to install.

What we ask from partners

• A clear, fair-use offer/s or perk for CovPlus members

• Staff awareness of the scheme, so it is smooth for customers and staff

• A willingness to support your local independent food scene

Offers can be changed or paused if needed — flexibility matters.

To keep CovPlus high-quality and useful for members, we curate our partner venues and may not be the right fit for every business.
